Exploring artistry through movement, story, and collaboration.

Brighter Still

A large-scale outdoor performance marking the closing celebration of Bradford’s year as UK City of Culture. Brighter Still honoured the joy, resilience, and everyday brilliance of the people of Bradford, blending movement, light and collective storytelling.

Clinic of Remembering

A movement-led performance exploring memory, healing, and the stories carried in the body. Blending Afro-contemporary movement, spoken text and intimate choreography, the piece invites audiences into a quiet, reflective space of remembering and release.

Bloom – Aerial Performance

A striking aerial and movement work exploring growth and transformation. Created as part of Bradford 2025, Bloom combined height work, circus movement, and physical theatre in a visually immersive outdoor setting.

BRAVE Festival

A three-day festival celebrating African and Caribbean heritage in Bradford through dance, music, storytelling, and cultural expression. I facilitated Afro-fusion workshops and worked with Phab Club members, including participants with disabilities, to create an accessible performance for the festival.

Ubuntu – BAFA Festival

A 10-minute Afro-fusion and contemporary solo rooted in the philosophy of Ubuntu — “I am because we are.” The work explores community, cultural memory and collective resilience. Performed as both the opening and closing piece of the Black African Festival UK.

So Far So Good

A co-created dance work made with older adults, celebrating agency, joy and intergenerational connection. Through improvisation and shared storytelling, the piece challenges stereotypes around ageing and highlights the wisdom held within community movement.

Still I Rise

Angelou’s iconic poem. Still I Rise celebrates Black resilience, dignity and joy through expressive movement, rhythmic storytelling and embodied strength. Performed across festivals and community stages.

Identity

A personal dance-theatre solo examining migration, belonging and self-discovery. Through movement, voice and narrative, Identity traces the emotional journey of finding home and claiming space in a new environment.

In Common – Common Wealth Theatre

A devised theatre work structured as a civic assembly. In Common weaves movement, conversation and lived experience to explore justice, community and what it means to share space. I contributed embodied storytelling and collaborative creation throughout the process.

Still Waiting – Common Wealth Theatre

A raw, documentary-style performance centred on mental health, survival and the weight of waiting — for help, for change, for breath. The piece blends testimony, movement and collective presence to reveal the emotional realities often carried in silence.

Black Heritage Day – University of Bradford

A celebration of African culture through dance, fashion and performance. I co-created the programme, designed cultural costumes, and performed Afro-contemporary pieces that honoured heritage, identity and community pride.
